Muhammara - A Middle Eastern Red Pepper Dip

Ingredients:

3 large red bell papers, cut into 4 pieces
3/4 cup walnuts
1/2 pomegranate juice
1/2 six inch diameter pita bread
1 medium onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon dried chilli powder
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon onion for frying
Salt, to taste

Instructions:

Pomegranate juice molasses preparation method:
1. Boil the pomegranate juice in the pot.
2. Stir over medium heat until the juice becomes sticky like molasses.

How to prepare Muhammad:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Roast the bell paper in a cookie seat for 15-20 minutes.
3. Remove the thin skin and seeds from the bell paper.
4. Toast the walnuts in the oven or oven for 6-7 minutes. Be careful not to get burnt.
5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in the oven and fry the onion till brown.
6. Toast the pita bread.
7. In a food processor, grind walnuts and pita bread.
8. Add the bell paper and all the other ingredients and process until smooth like a dip.
