Kiwi Juice Recipe

Did you know that the kiwi fruit was first discovered in China? It was called Mihao Tao or Yang Tao. Kiwi’s name was Sunny Peach. Missionaries only brought kiwi fruit to New Zealand in the early twentieth century. How strange! Surprisingly, the kiwi was named after a local New Zealand flying animal.

Kiwi contains more than 20 nutrients. Kiwi is definitely a fruit that should be included in our diet. Did you know that kiwis contain five times more vitamin C than any one orange? It contains plenty of vitamin K, which can help you fight seasonal influenza and blood clots, thus protecting against heart disease. You should start making kiwi juice now! 😉😉😉

Ingredients:

     2 kiwi fruits
1/4 cup sugar or as needed
     1 pinch of salt
     4 cups water
     1 cup ice cubes

Instructions:

Wash and clean the kiwi fruits and peel and cut into small pieces.

Add the kiwi, sugar, salt and water to a blender. Mix it until a smooth liquid is formed. Do not mix it too much, as it may crush the seeds.

The seeds add a great texture and the kids will love it.

Serve with ice cubes on top.

    Take a sip and enjoy.
